Would I be where I am today if different decisions were made ..
.. finish schooling in Jamaica .. staying in the public school system .. going to a performing art high school .. perfecting crafts .. piano lessons .. dance .. sewing .. going to an co-ED vs. ALL girls high school .. going to FIT to pursue a dream of fashion ..
“Honor your mother and father so your days upon this earth may be plentiful”.. is what was drilled into me as a child. However I pray that I am molded into the parent that one day supports any dream my child or children hold high Bc it is a future goal they wish to accomplish.
Would I be where I am today if I had decided to open up to my parents ..
What draws the line btw authority and friendship.?
Comfortability is my answer in my opinion . Comfortability will erase your memory of what it feels like to be uncomfortable. Once you cross that imaginary line that exists btw authority and friendship your comfort has led you to believe no longer exists .. there no longer is balance.
